Sugarloaf Area Christian Ministry
Sugarloaf Area Christian Ministry had its beginning at a meeting held at the Sugarloaf Inn in November of 1982. At this gathering were representatives of the Kingfield United Methodist Church and residents of the Sugarloaf area. It was the desire of those present to start holding services of worship at the chapel and to address other spiritual needs in the community. Plans were laid and the services began on the first Sunday in December, lead by Reverend Skip Schwartz, then pastor of the Ministry until the spring of 1990.
In the fall of 1990, the Reverends Pamela and Earle Morse were called to be co-pastors of the Ministry, splitting one full-time position. Under the leadership of Pamela and Earle, services began to be held year-round and continue to be so today. Not long ago, the Ministry celebrated its 20th anniversary with tremendous gratefulness for the past and a sense of expectancy for the future.
Sugarloaf Area Christian Ministry exists to share the life-changing gospel of Jesus Christ. We invite you to worship with us and we hope you find it to be an inspirational experience. If you have not yet come to the point of receiving that gift that Christ offers to all, we would consider it an honor and a privilege to share with you how this abundant life can be yours. May God richly bless you!
